FBI Asking for Help from Steam Users
The FBI is asking gamers who downloaded eight Steam games that contained harmful software to come forward as part of an ongoing investigation. Officials want information from anyone who installed or ran those titles so they can track the impact and stop further harm. All information will remain confidential.
Who Is at Risk
People or guardians of those who downloaded BlockBlasters, Chemia, Dashverse/DashFPS, Lampy, Lunara, PirateFi, or Tokenova on Steam.
What to Watch For
Look for unexpected game behavior, unfamiliar programs appearing on your computer, slow performance, or unusual account activity like new logins or password reset messages.
What to Do
Immediately remove any unrecognized or recently installed games, run a full antivirus check with up-to-date protections, and change passwords for accounts you use on that device. To submit a report go to https://forms.fbi.gov/victims/Steam_Malware
